MACACO BONG 's biography

This instrumental power trio came together in 2004 in the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso. Their sounds are a deconstruction of the arrangements of popular music and of Brazilian traditional tunes merged with jazz, pop and other styles, all of which applied to their unique rock aesthetics. In 2005 Macaco Bong released a free distribution EP through the web page of independent label Trama. In 2008, they recorded their first album, “Artista Igual Pedreiro,” released in Argentina by Scatter Records and chosen by the Brazilian edition of Rolling Stone magazine as one of the best albums of the year.
